The Embassy of Indonesia graciously invited Diplomatic Corps to attend the ASEAN Day 2025 celebration in Stockholm. The event, held on October 30, 2025, brought together distinguished guests, diplomats, and members of the international community to honor the spirit of unity and cooperation among the ASEAN nations.

During the ceremony, the ASEAN Committee, together with Dag Hartelius from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, addressed media, esteemed ambassadors, and invited guests. The speeches highlighted the strong diplomatic relations between Sweden and the ASEAN countries, emphasizing shared values of partnership, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.

The event reflected the warmth, hospitality, and friendship that define the ASEAN community, offering an inspiring glimpse into regional collaboration and global engagement.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Brunei Darussalam then joined on 7 January 1984, Viet Nam on 28 July 1995, Lao PDR and Myanmar on 23 July 1997, and Cambodia on 30 April 1999, making up what is today the ten Member States of ASEAN.
