Statehood Day (Dan državnosti) is marked each year on 25 November in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The day commemorates the 1943 session of ZAVNOBiH in Mrkonjić Grad, where the historic resolution confirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state of equal peoples, with guaranteed rights and its own republican status within the former Yugoslav federation.

The decision affirmed the country’s historical borders and its future as a united, multi-ethnic community. Although the 1995 law formally establishes 25 November as Statehood Day, the holiday is not observed in the Republika Srpska entity.

Statehood Day is distinct from Independence Day on 1 March, which marks the 1992 referendum where an overwhelming majority of voters supported full sovereignty for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A reception was hosted by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sweden, led by Ambassador Bojan Šošić at the Historic museum of Stockholm, to honor this important national day.
